I'm Esther Kabwe, a family, couples, and maternity photographer based in Southern Illinois. I'm so excited to have you in my little corner of the internet.
Now, here's a little secret about me, I absolutely love to dance and sing! You might catch me dancing around while snapping photos or humming a tune behind the camera. It brings an extra dose of energy and spontaneity to my work, even though I’m no Beyonce!
When I'm not busy photographing, you can find me fully embracing the joys of parenting. My own family is my greatest source of inspiration. They teach me the true meaning of love and remind me why capturing those special connections is so important.
As a photographer, I understand that being in front of the camera can sometimes feel a bit awkward. But here's the silver lining, I've experienced that too! It helps me empathize and connect with my clients on a deeper level, knowing exactly how they might be feeling during our sessions.
From the moment I picked up a camera, I knew I had found my calling. Capturing memories and telling stories through my lens is a passion.

As a photographer and a nurse, I carry both a camera and a heart trained to notice the little things. The subtle expressions, the quiet connections, the in-between moments that often go unnoticed. I believe there’s a beautiful overlap between these two roles. Both require deep empathy, attention to detail, and a genuine love for people.
My background in nursing has taught me how to listen closely, tune into emotions, and create a safe, comfortable space. I bring that same care and presence into every photo session.
