My Why

Clients ask me all the time, “Why did you get into photography?” For me the answer is simple. I love connecting with people and capturing their personalities on camera, in a way that is meaningful and beautiful.

Photography has introduced me to so many people I now consider friends, friends that I would not have otherwise met. It has also taught me a lot about how we connect as people. As I spend time researching how to capture genuine emotions and people interacting, I have learned a lot about how a simple touch can an invoke a reaction and a connection. Sometimes it is a pinch on the butt that causes someone to laugh, or a kiss on the forehead that causes them to relax. Connection is at the core of my business and I love it.

Through this, I have met a ton of people. Some are loud, others quiet. Some are bold and fierce, while others are gentle souls. Trying to create an environment where people feel comfortable enough to be themselves, and then trying to capture that on camera, is always my goal in every session. I find it fulfilling, and I truly enjoy it. It makes me happy.

I hope this helps gives you a greater understanding of why I love what I do, and I hope it inspires you to do what brings you joy as well.
