10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me!

Let get right into it! Here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about me.

  1. I got bit by a dog when I was younger, so for the longest time, I was afraid of them. It wasn’t until I made the decision to volunteer at a dog shelter (Shout out to St. Francis) that I was able to overcome my fears, and now I have my own 100 pound dog named Jax! He is the friendliest, goofiest dog ever!

2. I love interior decorating, and Pinterest is my favorite place to be after a long day! It helps inspire me with my photography, and it gives me new ideas for decorating. I transform my house probably once per year. During this time, I usually shift around major furniture. I rotate out my pictures on the wall, and I add a few finishing touches.

3. I love breakfast food! I love waffles, hash browns, toast, pancakes, fruits, and of course orange juice! I love all breakfast foods! Well except eggs! I don’t like eggs, at all.

4. I am interested in building and putting things together! I have been thinking about taking a class! I would love to one day build my own furniture.

5. I bought a van and was planning on traveling across the US, but then the COVID pandemic happened, so we sold our van and let that dream go. We still want to travel but we feel it will take some time before we feel comfortable doing so.

6. I am a night owl. I always have been. Even as I am typing this, it is 2:12 in the morning. I have tried so hard to be a morning person and to get up at 5am but I just can’t. I prefer to be up late and up at noon if I could have it my way.

7. I used to play the flute! I don’t anymore but once upon a time I used to know how! I wasn’t very good but I had fun doing it! I also used to play the triangle. That was mostly to get out of P.E. I am not musically gifted but I love to sing anyway and I love to dance!

8. My finger nails grow really fast. I usually have to cut them at least once per month or they get too long. Weird? Probably but I kind of love it!

9. I really love the beach, and the feeling of sand on my feet. I know this isn’t that interesting and everyone loves the beach. But still, I thought you should know, I love the beach.

10. I have always wanted a big house with tons of kids. Growing up, I used to think that I would have 6 kids , and that I would drive a school bus. I still want kids. Maybe not 6, and I probably won’t be driving a school bus anytime soon, but I love big families. I love the sense of community and the connectedness.

Let me know if there was anything that surprised you!
