What Happens After Your Photo Session
From editing to delivery, here’s what you can expect
You’ve had your session, you’ve laughed, maybe cried (the happy kind), and we’ve captured some beautiful moments together. Now what?
If you’ve ever wondered what happens between the last click of the camera and the moment you open your gallery, I’m here to walk you through it. I want you to know that every part of this process is handled with care and intention because your memories deserve that kind of attention.
Step One: Backing up your images
Right after our session, I head home and upload your images to multiple backup systems. This helps me keep them safe and secure while I start the editing process. Your memories are important, and I treat them that way from the very beginning.
Step Two: Culling (choosing the best of the best)
From there, I go through every single photo and hand-select the images that best tell your story. I’m looking for genuine smiles, quiet moments, soft interactions, and little in-between glances that sometimes say more than words. I remove duplicates, blinks, and anything that doesn’t feel like you.
Step Three: Editing with heart
This part is where the magic really happens. I carefully edit each image for lighting, color, and tone to match my signature warm and natural style. I make sure your photos feel timeless and true to the mood of your session. My goal is to create a final gallery that feels full of life, not overly edited, but beautifully polished.
Step Four: Uploading and organizing your gallery
Once your images are edited, I upload them to your private online gallery. I group them in a way that flows naturally, so it feels like you’re reliving your session as you scroll. From there, you’ll be able to download your images, share them with friends and family, and order prints if you’d like.
Step Five: Sharing the moment
I usually send a little sneak peek along the way, and once your full gallery is ready, I’ll send you an email with the link and a few tips on how to get the most out of your photos. I’m always here if you need help downloading or printing or if you just want to share which ones made you cry a little.
A note from the heart
I don’t take it lightly that you’ve trusted me with your memories. Whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime celebration or a quiet everyday moment, I want your gallery to feel like something you’ll hold onto forever.
If you have any questions about the process, I’m always happy to talk more. And if you’re thinking about booking a session, I’d love to help you start planning.
