There are so many talented photographers in Southern Illinois. I know that. So if you’ve landed here and you’re wondering why me, I want to tell you.
I’m not the kind of photographer who just shows up, clicks a few pretty photos, and leaves. For me, photography is about connection. It’s about seeing people for who they really are and capturing the moments that matter most, the ones that happen in between the poses.
I believe in real moments
The ones where your partner makes you laugh so hard you forget the camera is there. The way your kid wraps their arms around your neck and doesn’t let go. The look you give each other when no one else is watching. That’s the good stuff and that’s what I’m always looking for.
I bring heart to every session
Whether it’s a wedding, an engagement, or a quiet family session, I show up with my whole heart. I’m not just there to take photos. I’m there to cheer you on, to make you feel seen and celebrated, and to help you feel completely at ease.
I value comfort over perfection
I know that being in front of the camera can feel vulnerable. That’s why I spend time getting to know you, guiding you gently, and creating space for you to just be yourself. You don’t need to pose perfectly. You don’t need to be anyone but you. That’s enough.
I’m deeply rooted in Southern Illinois
I love this community. I know the fields, the forests, the little hidden gems that make Carbondale and the surrounding area so beautiful. But more than that, I know the people. I’m inspired by their stories and honored every time someone trusts me to tell theirs.
