What Happens After Your Photo Session

Step One: Backing up your images
Right after our session, I head home and upload your images to multiple backup systems. This helps me keep them safe and secure while I start the editing process. Your memories are important, and I treat them that way from the very beginning.

Step Two: Culling (choosing the best of the best)
From there, I go through every single photo and hand-select the images that best tell your story. I’m looking for genuine smiles, quiet moments, soft interactions, and little in-between glances that sometimes say more than words. I remove duplicates, blinks, and anything that doesn’t feel like you.

Let me start by saying this. If you're feeling nervous, unsure, or even a little camera shy, you are not alone.

You wouldn’t believe how many messages I get before a session that say something like, “We’re not photogenic,” or “We’re a little awkward,” or “We’ve never done this before so we have no idea what we’re doing.”

And every single time, I smile. Not because I think it’s silly, but because I truly understand. It’s vulnerable to be in front of a camera. And it’s even more vulnerable to be in front of a camera while showing love, laughter, and connection. That takes courage.
